Change the sprite Absolute and Relative position

When you add new sprites, they are initially placed in the upper left corner of the Screensaver working area. They can change the sprite Initial Position (X: Horizontal and Y: Vertical).

To change the Absolute Position

1. Select the sprite in the Screensaver Document window.

2. Right-click on the sprite and choose Properties.

3. Click on the Size and Position tab.

4. In the Absolute Position group, enter here the X coordinate of the Initial position of the sprite of screen (0 means the left border of the screen). This value indicates the position of the sprite's hot spot on the screen (not necessary the position of the upper-left corner of the sprite - see hot spot definition). Sprite initial position can also be specified using drag & drop in the Screensaver document window.

5. In the Absolute Position Group, enter here the Y coordinate of the Initial position of the sprite on screen (0 means the top border of the screen). This value indicates the position of the sprite's hot spot on the screen (not necessary the position of the upper-left corner of the sprite - see hot spot definition). Sprite initial position can also be specified using drag & drop in the Screensaver document window.

The visible screen coordinates are based on the size of the screensaver as specified at creation. If you launch the screensaver on a screen which has a different size and/or aspect ratio, the sprite coordinates will be recalculated accordingly. You can specify a coordinate outside of the visible area to make a sprite initially hidden.

To change the Relative Position

1. Select the sprite in the Screensaver Document window.

2. Right-click on the sprite and choose Properties.

3. In the Hot Spot Relative Position group, enter here the X (horizontal) relative position of the hot spot within the sprite.

4. In the Hot Spot Relative Position group, enter here the Y (vertical) relative position of the hot spot within the sprite.

5. Click to specify the hot spot relative position within the sprite. When you click in the image, the X and Y values (at the bottom) are updated accordingly.

The sprite position is defined by the absolute position of the hot spot (in the screen coordinates) and by the relative position of the hot spot within the sprite (in percent). If relative position is (0%, 0%) the absolute position of the sprite is based on the position of the upper-left corner of the sprite. If relative position is (100%, 100%) the absolute position of the sprite is based on the position of the bottom-right corner of the sprite. By default the relative position is (50%, 50%): the center of the sprite.
